About Us

The Technical College of Communications and Information in Jeddah was established in the year 1391 AH (Hijri calendar), initially known as the Institute of Wired and Wireless Communications, and later as the College of Communications. It was under the supervision of the Ministry of Posts, Telegraphs, and Telephones, with the purpose of preparing technically qualified personnel for employment in various telecommunications specialties within the Saudi Arabian telecommunications sector.

Subsequently, the college’s affiliation transitioned to the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training due to the rapid development in electronics and the increasing demand from both governmental and private entities for highly skilled technical personnel. There was a growing need for training in electronic technology. Specialized programs were introduced in line with the strategic plans of the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, which aimed to provide advanced technical and vocational training and to prepare technically talented individuals who would serve the community and contribute to the progress and development of the nation.
